Taekw0ndo

The Taekwondo team is led by a very experienced Taekwondo coach, Mr Robin Chow. Members undergo rigorous training to prepare for three gradings a year. Mr Robin Chow works closely with the school and Whampoa Community Club to provide our members with a unique opportunity to interact with the community at the Whampoa Community Club Poomsae Championships. The team is also supported by Mr Vinson, our alunmus. He has been instrumental in motivating our members to excel in the national interschool championships. Taekwondo equips the students with stronger interpersonal and communication skills through first-hand interactions with both CCA members and their teachers. Archery

Confidence, benevolence and perseverance are three virtues that form the pillars of the Archery CCA. In effect, archery is a shooting sport that encourages individuals to learn more about themselves, understand their strengths and weaknesses, leverage opportunities and their surroundings to achieve their desired goals Archery provides students with a platform to analyse failures, plan timely interventions, overcome challenges, experience successes in a dynamic competitive setting. In archery, success is not an entitlement - it has to be earned through grit and purposeful teamwork. To a successful archer, results are scores that serve as reflections of one's developing character in seeking self-actualisation. Although archery is a CCA, many students have benefitted from their archery experience to become confident individuals, determined learners, gracious teamplayers and thoughtful members of the community. Simply, archery is not just a CCA - it can be a life-changing experience.
